Newsday Player of the Year: Olivia Moynihan, Sayville, QB, SS, Sr.

She completed 256 of 327 passes for 2,886 yards and 57 touchdowns with only two interceptions. She added 1,151 yards rushing and eight scores on 110 carries. For her career, she had 6,476 yards passing and 114 TDs with 3,580 yards rushing and 32 scores

Nassau Player of the Year: Emma Heaney, Plainview Old Bethpage JFK, WR/SS, Sr.

The 6-foot Heaney was a playmaker on both sides of the ball, catching 27 passes for 500 yards and nine touchdowns and adding 130 rushing yards and two more scores. On defense, she pulled 60 flags and made three interceptions, returning two for touchdowns.

Dual Player of the Year: Samantha Heyman, Half Hollow Hills, QB/DB, Jr.

She led Long Island with 3,954 yards passing and 60 TDs. She also rushed for 1,645 yards and 18 TDs. She was all over the field on defense with 88 flag pulls and 16 interceptions, including four returned for touchdowns. Her career numbers are incredible; 8,529 yards passing and 127 TDs; 3,337 rushing yards and 35 TDs.

Kate Cusack, Bethpage, DB/RB, Sr.

She had 2,112 all-purpose yards, including 1,440 receiving and a total of 31 offensive touchdowns. She also returned seven interceptions for TDs, had 94 flag pulls and was the Nassau B/C Player of the Year. Her career numbers are staggering: 3,571 total yards, 66 TDs and 27 interceptions, including 18 returned for scores. 

Paulina Fonfara, Glen Cove, QB/Safety, Sr.

Fonfara was a true dual threat, rushing for 1,392 yards and 15 touchdowns on 131 carries and throwing for 1,071 yards and 15 TDs. She was just as dominant on defense, tallying 18 interceptions, including one returned for a score.

Zoe Franks, Half Hollow Hills, WR/LB, Jr.

One of the taller and more athletic wide receivers on Long Island who was difficult to cover. She finished with 122 receptions for 1,370 yards and 18 TDs. She added seven interceptions and returned two of them for TDs.

Abby Gregory, Division, RB/DB, Sr.

She had 656 receiving yards and 412 rushing yards and scored 28 touchdowns. The defensive back also had eight interceptions.

Giselle Harris, Longwood, WR/DB, Sr.

Harris was the team's top target, catching 77 passes for 1,329 yards and 16 touchdowns to lead a potent Longwood offense.

Delaney Israel, Longwood, QB, Sr.

Israel had one of the most prolific passing seasons on Long Island, completing 285 of 380 passes for 4,429 yards and 50 touchdowns. She also ran for 60 yards and a touchdown on just four carries.

Ivy Matthews, Syosset, QB/DB, Sr.

She threw for 1,296 yards and 22 TDs and ran for 376 yards and eight scores. She also led the defense with 45 flag pulls and four interceptions.

Taylor Mileti, Hauppauge, QB/LB, Jr.

She totaled 2,752 yards passing and 42 touchdowns and added 27 one-point conversions. She rushed for 1,027 yards and 10 scores with five conversion runs. The two-way phenom also had 85 flag pulls and five interceptions. She had 15 flag pulls in a game against East Islip this season.

Trinity Ricevuto, Sayville, WR/DB, Sr.

She led the defense with 83 flag pulls and 11 interceptions on the way to the Long Island title. She caught 52 passes for 756 yards and 14 scores.

Ava Suaza, Valley Stream District, DE, Sr.

The two-year captain had 65 flag pulls and 21 tackles for a loss, including nine sacks. The two-time All-Nassau selection returned from an ACL injury suffered in her junior season to be voted Suffolk Conference A Defensive Player of the Year.

Ava Vadyak, Sayville, WR/DB, Sr.

She had 76 receptions for 913 yards and 23 TDs. One of the Golden Flashes’ leaders on defense, she had 56 flag pulls and seven interceptions. Two of them were returned for touchdowns, including a a pick-6 in the state semifinal. 

Jenna Vormittag, Eastport-South Manor, WR/DB, Sr.

Vormittag caught 77 passes for 1,178 yards and 25 touchdowns, scoring in every regular-season game. She also played every snap on defense and had 75 flag pulls and eight interceptions.  

Ava West, Bellmore-Merrick, RB/DB, Sr.

She had 159 carries for 1,234 yards and 11 TDs for a team that ran the ball well. She added 11 one-point conversion runs and averaged 112 yards rushing per game. She was excellent on defense with 72 flag pulls, including eight for a loss and two interceptions.

Suffolk Coach of the Year: Michael Lupa, Half Hollow Hills

He’s guided the program to three consecutive Suffolk titles since the inception of the program. They won the Long Island Class A championship this season and went to the state title game. His record over three years is 45-8.

Nassau Coach of the Year: Victoria Piscitelli, Division

Piscitelli guided Division to a 13-2 record, the Nassau Class B championship and a shutout win in the county final. The top-seeded Blue Dragons dropped just one game in the regular season and reached the Long Island Class B title game.
